Terms of Service

By accessing and using JustBeCause Network ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2.1 Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

2.2 Account Types: The Platform offers two types of accounts: Impact Agent accounts and NGO/Nonprofit accounts. You may only create one account per entity.

2.3 Verification: NGO accounts may be subject to verification to ensure they represent legitimate nonprofit organizations.

Users agree to:

• Provide truthful and accurate information
• Use the Platform for its intended purpose of skills-based contributions
• Respect intellectual property rights
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
• Not use the Platform for commercial solicitation unrelated to impact work
• Not impersonate others or create fake accounts

4.1 Pro-Bono Services: The Platform primarily facilitates pro-bono impact agent services. Any paid arrangements must be clearly disclosed and agreed upon between parties.

4.2 No Employment Relationship: JustBeCause Network does not create an employment relationship between impact agents and NGOs. Users are responsible for their own tax and legal obligations.

4.3 Quality of Work: While we encourage high-quality impact agent work, we do not guarantee the quality, completeness, or timeliness of services provided through the Platform.

5.1 Platform Content: All content on the Platform, including design, logos, and text, is owned by JustBeCause Network and protected by copyright laws.

5.2 User Content: You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform.

5.3 Work Product: Intellectual property rights for work created through volunteer projects should be agreed upon between impact agents and NGOs before project commencement.

JustBeCause Network is a platform connecting impact agents with NGOs. We are not responsible for:

• The quality or outcome of impact agent work
• Disputes between users
• Loss or damage resulting from use of the Platform
• Actions or omissions of users
• Accuracy of user-provided information

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service or engage in behavior harmful to the Platform or its users.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
